Much wisdom in twenty-three words. As I was looking at the photograph to find the building in which you work (or did you take the picture from your office window?), I noticed the source of the quotation, Walter Lippman. (That information is provided for anyone who didn’t look for your workplace so didn’t know.) Okay, back to earth. I heard that man speak at my wife’s college graduation more than fifty years ago. I don’t know whether or not he spoke those words on that occasion; in fact I don’t remember anything he said, but, as you know, he had one of the great minds of the last century.
