It is so easy to go along in order to get along; but that so often denies oneself of personal integrity, One ought not be unnecessarily confrontational in order to draw attention to themselves; BUT one ought to have the courage to do; to state and to offer up what they perceive as being RIGHT, so long as such a position can be evidenced.
As an employee or even a Boss; one should neither seek difficulties nor ignore or bypass them. One will learn more from adversity than the cost to us from meeting it head-on.
