It’s great to do things we like best, but the second part is quite a task!

I agree.
I love dancing, teaching, and energy work.
Who would pay me – a novice in all those things – when there are experts in the field or certainly, many more people who have more experience and knowledge than I do?

Well, you can move into that area of your interest in a different approach that you are good at. For example if you are really good at customer service then find a dancing school that hires customer service related jobs. You’ll definitely be happier and closer to something you love; and who knows may lead to doors of opportunities opening up to you because you are on familiar grounds with the industry folks.

This is right. To get someone to pay you to do it is another thing. Difficult.

Very difficult but if you have the will, you’ll have the way.

I agree with you fully. Let us cultivate the will and the way will come.

I’ve been trying to follow this advice for years, but no one seems willing to pay me to sit around and eat brownies and yell obscenities as terrible tv shows! What’s wrong with people?!?

You just describe the job of a TV critic or a TV producer!!! You not only get to do those you listed, you get to make obnoxious actors cry too!!
