A Brand New Chapter in A Brand New Year

Finally, after what feels like a whirlwind of events, I have moved into a home of my own! There’s something so profoundly fulfilling about being able to call a place yours—a space that reflects your journey, your dreams, and your growth. To everyone who’s been nudging me to keep writing every day, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I couldn’t have done it without your check-ins, your reminders, and your unwavering encouragement to stick to my posting schedule. Truly, your support has been my lifeline.

This journey hasn’t been without its challenges. Juggling the many roles I play—mother, homeowner, professional, and writer—has been a rollercoaster ride. Renovating the house was an adventure in itself, filled with endless meetings with contractors, marathon sessions with interior designers, and the never-ending fatigue of furniture shopping. Add to that transferring schools, managing bills, and ensuring my clients remained happy, and you’ve got a recipe for chaos. Yet somehow, I made it through.

How did I do it, you ask? Especially when it felt like everyone wanted a piece of me? The answer lies in a mix of resilience, resourcefulness, and a relentless love for challenges. I’ve learned to squeeze minutes out of hours, to multi-task like a pro, and to pace myself with small, purposeful breaks that keep my energy fueled. And while I never compromise on sleep (I make it a point to be in bed before midnight), I still manage to show up for what truly matters.

I’m proud to say that I’ve attended all my girls’ parent-teacher meetings, volunteered at their school events, spent cherished moments with my parents, and carved out precious me-time to care for myself. These moments of connection and self-care are what keep me grounded amidst the busyness.

Reflecting on the past year, I thought 2023 was unbeatable. The trips I took with my family, friends, and even solo were unforgettable. But 2024 has been nothing short of magical. From attending international concerts like Coldplay, Taylor Swift, and Bruno Mars with my family (the ultimate bonding experience!) to welcoming new friendships into my life, this year has been one of growth, joy, and gratitude. And now, having a beautiful home to call my own feels like the perfect culmination of it all.

As I step into 2025, I can’t help but feel a renewed sense of excitement. This is my fresh start, my blank slate, my opportunity to build on the foundation I’ve worked so hard to lay. So, I ask you: What are you grateful for in 2024? And how are you planning to begin 2025?

Let’s step into the new year with hearts full of gratitude and dreams bigger than ever. Cheers to fresh starts and the magic that lies ahead!

With love and determination,
Your ever-grateful writer, Kally

  1. When I read all you’ve been doing, I wonder if you have the same 24 hours in each day that the rest of us do. You’re amazing.

Of course, if all you did was write, you would run out of things to write about, right? 😏
