There are lots to be grateful for this season. I am back in Singapore, folks! I appreciate the time to spend Christmas with my family after 2 years of lockdown and travel restrictions. I am overloaded with overdue updates! I promise you will get all my updates in the coming New Year.
And if you have noticed, I have changed the website theme. It is still a work in progress, so kindly bear with me. The preparation for the launch of my new book brings on the change! Yes, it is 99.99% ready!
It will be a great way to announce in the new year. I can’t wait to tell you about it.
Sharing my favourite bit of Christmas:
“How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Suess
…So he paused. And the Grinch put his hand to his ear.
And he did hear a sound rising over the snow.
It started in low. Then it started to grow.
But the sound wasn’t sad! Why, this sound sounded merry!
It couldn’t be so! But it WAS merry! VERY!
He stared down at Whoville! The Grinch popped his eyes!
Then he shook! What he saw was a shocking surprise!
Every Who down in Whoville, the tall and the small,
Was singing! Without any presents at all!
He HADN’T stopped Christmas from coming! IT CAME!
Somehow or other, it came just the same!
And the Grinch, with his grinch-feet ice-cold in the snow,
Stood puzzling and puzzling: “How could it be so?”
“It came with out ribbons! It came without tags!”
“It came without packages, boxes or bags!”
And he puzzled three hours, till his puzzler was sore.
Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before!
“Maybe Christmas,” he thought, “doesn’t come from a store.”
“Maybe Christmas…perhaps…means a little bit more!”…
Merry Christmas, everyone.

Amen to the Grinch’s realization❗ “Christ’s Mass” is SOOOOooo much more than what you can get in a store or even in family gatherings. It is the fact that Jesus, God of very God, came to live among us and bear our sins to His cross.

Good Morning Kally, Happy Late Merry Christmas to you too!!! I always read what you post, i’m bad at commenting but I must say it’s always a delight. You write in a way to capture attention and I just love your writing style. You mentioned you moved back to Singapore… I have always wanted to visit and I had planned to but then Covid hit and it’s been complicated since. If i were to come out soon to visit, are there any special regulations to follow or has it been back to normal per se? Meaning will I need to wear a mask? Will I be quarantined? Will it be 6 ft apart? Etc… The other thing was, if I wanted to start a small food business there, who is the person I would contact – if you may know? Few years ago I had contacted someone from there but I don’t remember his name and he was a banker I believe – I don’t remember all the details but he said I would need $5,000 to start. This was a year or two before Covid started and since then my number has been changed and new phone, new address etc. LOL I lost all contact forms with him. Anyways, I’m here in the USA and in the Midwest part – we are having snow – i see snowflakes and started with 1 little one against my window and now many more swirling around with the wind. Hope you had a wonderful Christmas and who knows one day I may come down soon and maybe we can meet up for coffee or lunch if it’s ok with you. Take care and be safe!!
