Hi MiddleMe fans,
I have been doling out advices for the past 7 years and now it is my turn to ask for your opinion. Please help me to pick a title for my book. My book is going through the final stages of editing before I can hand over to my book designer, I need a title desperately.
So please allow me to share the background of my non-fiction book. It is a sort-of autobiography of my freelance journey with call-to-action exercises that allows the readers to interact with the content and a simple step-by-step guide to kickstart freelancing. It is written in a way that target mothers who wants to empower themselves through freelancing while juggling parenting young children at home. My inspiration came from hearing how mothers struggling to embracing motherhood without sacrificing their careers. I also want single mothers or mothers from low income families to benefit from my book.
Please help me to pick a title from the selection here and comment your answer below:
1) Freelance-From-Home Mum
A freelancing career guide to achieving a guilt-free balance of work and motherhood.
2) KickStart Momlancing!
A freelancing career guide for moms who want to have it all
3) Freelance Like A SuperMum
A freelancing career guide for moms who want to have it all
Thank you for helping me to name my first baby book project!! I am so glad to have you to be a part of this project.
With Love, Kally@MiddleMe

I like the third one. Good luck!

💜 I Suggest ‘Freelancer Female’ with a subtitle of ‘Potential, Professional, Practical Parenting With Love’ because this covers ALL bases especially the childless, professional ladies who may, one day, be “mom” and wonder if they would be able to cope with it ALL EveryOne; if in disagreement then I look forward to hearing the reasons why this suggestion is flawed EveryBody

Maybe a mix of 1 and 2; A Kickstart for freelancing supermums? Watever the title it should cover the content of the book.

Right your request for help for the title of your literary labors after dispensing a large number of tips and tricks.
If I understand correctly, the choice falls among those proposed, all of which are interesting.
My preference falls on
1) Freelance-From-Home Mum
A freelancing career guide to achieving a guilt-free balance of work and motherhood.
It seems to me the most suitable for the project you are developing.
O.T. very nice is the tiny icon that closes the post.

Yay! You finished it! Congratulations! I like Title #3, but with the subtitle of Title #1. So it would read

I like number 3. The Supermum is acknowledging the working mother and her super efforts to balance work and home. It seems more uplifting.

Yes! And if you are helping them stay super moms with your writing then you must be a super, super mom. I owe my good life to my super mom and my wife who is a Tiger Mom in the good sense.

Hi, Kally.
Without reading the manuscript, selecting a title is virtually impossible. YOU know your text and content best; a good editor may have some suggestions based on what you say in the content.
Sometimes a title will summarize the content, as I expect your suggestions do. At other times, a particular line that is significant to the theme may be more marketable even it is not summarizing, so I will defer to you and your editor.

I like 3 the best. It tells the reader right away what the book is about and aims at its primary audience, the working mother. (I imagine it has tips for people who aren’t mothers though?) Good luck on your book! I marvel that you were able to write it while looking after a newborn. Most new mothers would be desperate for a moment to nap, and not trying to squeeze in time for writing. I remember just trying to read while the baby was asleep, only to find myself nodding off or curled up on the sofa, drained. You really have to be a supermom to do anything else!

Yes, this has been a really crazy journey. I am juggling a newborn + 5 years old, writing a book and managing a new biz… I really don’t know how I am surviving but here I am still alive! hahaha! Thank you so much for your input.

Hello Kally, I could go with title suggestion one but I would probably change the spelling of “Mum” to “Mom”, plus I would change the subtitle a bit:
A freelancing career guide on how to balance work and motherhood
Just a thought, Blessings, Elfriede

Thank you so much for your input, Elfriede!! 😍 The word “mum” is because I am British educated rather than “mom” in American. Hope this explains why I use mum instead of mom.
