Could it be true? Ruin is never a gift

Not sure how many of us who have experienced some form of ruin would count it as a gift. Sometimes it may be a wake up call to change, but some times it is very destructive.
Like the saying, “What does not destroy me makes me stronger,” is flat out untrue, this one may need some tweaking to be acceptable for many of us.
