#1 Know your targets
All of us have a dream workplace we covet to work for or an industry we want to join in. When doing a job search, always check these workplaces or industries and ask around if there is an opening even if there’s no posting about it.

My friend Kally, another AWESOME Post (no surprise there)
Two things sorta jumped out at me:
#1. Stay Positive (YOU ARE SELLING YOURSELF; so keep it in mind!)
#2. The Resume: Both in good and less-good times your Resume NEEDS to DIFFERNT…. Noticeable and memorable.
Consider these suggestions (which in my unretired life have “field tested”)
Make the paper you use different (but not) gaudy … Office supply store OFFER a wide variety with MATCHING envelope; which you should advantage
Then get away from the NOLRMAL formats; and go to a business letter format.
Hello (0r Hi) my name is ….. and I have researched (BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE) your company, and I would very much like to work for and with you.
Here are my qualifications. And I am open to any opportunity that promises advancement and growth potential….
Anyway that approach WILL get noticed.
And Pray (having God on your side is a HUGE +)

Thanks a lot for your advice. First of all, stay positive and try, try, try. But on #5 Be flexible… It’s not easy to go. If you’re not young enough and you have a family based in one place. Above all, during an interview, comes always the question : “Are you changing your field of interest? Why?” Obviously you cannot say “I’m working in Oil&Gas and now all is politically blocked, idiot.” Being flexible, being choosy, brings to you a lot of questions. Sometimes answers are not enough appreciated.
