Oh my gosh! Yes, it has been 5 sweet years writing in MiddleMe.
It started on this faithful day 7 July 2015.
Fun Fact #1
I’m very bad with dates so usually important dates such as my marriage anniversary or birthday will have easy to remember combination. Heck, even my little one’s birthday is on 11 Jan (1101).
Published my 1st post with So you want to be a manager…. still remising the good old corporate days (I resigned from my office job in April 2015 and took a break) and what a break it was. Boredom led me to create MiddleMe to share my workplace wisdom with everyone. This baby project grew from 13 views per day to 300 views per day. That’s more than 2000% increase! Only possible with your everlasting support and encouragement.
Fun Fact #2
The first name wasn’t MiddleMe but Sandwich’ed. I always love to tell others how I am always the Fillet in your Fillet O’ Fish or the ham in your sandwiches, stuck in between the top brass and my frontline staff. I only changed my mind when MiddleMe kept surfacing in my dreams together with the logo. Yes, the same logo you see here. It was truly an Ah-Ha moment for me.
To date, this is the 1380th post. I can’t imagine that I have written so much here. I can’t imagine that you have read so much here too!
The honourable moment is when MiddleMe was picked by WordPress Team to be featured on Discover: Featured! I Feel Honored And Special in May 2018.
Fun Fact #3
At the same time when I started MiddleMe, I started my new journey as a freelancer.
Groping blindly in the dark while making rookie mistakes, I realised that MiddleMe should expand her area to cover freelancers as well.
The goal of MiddleMe always have been to share my errors so others may learn from it and avoid the nasty potholes and perhaps giving them a less bumpy journey in finding happiness in their chosen career.
Fun Fact #4
The day I gave birth, this was the article Money the Root of All Evils. I preplanned all my posts in advance so I can spend more time engaging in comments. So I would have planned a sweet post like one of my Weekly Wisdom if I had known.
Oh well, this serves a good story to tell my little one when she is old enough.
Fun Fact #5
I don’t usually divulge personal details on the web as I am a very private person. I don’t even have social media until the birth of MiddleMe. Even then, the social media accounts are kept in line with what MiddleMe publishes. (Sorry, folks! No drunk photos or 1001 baby photos or food selfie.)
So not many readers knew I was pregnant. And when I announced it here 2017 New Year Resolutions, many were surprised. Those who congratulate us are still loyal followers of MiddleMe today. Yes, I’m referring to you Patty, John Cowgill, Ute, Sid, Kamal, Sarah and many more…
A huge thank you for accompanying me on this 5 years journey. With you around, I was never alone. And here’s to another amazing 5 years together! Cheers with love!

Congratulations, Kally. What a huge milestone. I’m impressed that you can continue to write so many high-quality blog posts. There is another prolific blogger that recycles his posts more often than he realizes. His input is good but he is now recycling the same posts on multiple social outlets. Keep up the good work.
