Despite the relatively high wages in Dubai and the luxury available, married people who want to enroll kids in a school in Dubai would pay very high school bills for private so many married people who work in Dubai put their children in schools outside Emirates ( foreigners in Dubai could not attend a public school which is only for UAE nationals according to the laws and regulations there ) …

I don’t mind old buildings but location and size are huge factors for me. I love waking up to birdsong, live in a resort style apartment and 10 mins from the city central. That’s where I’m living right now!

The number of foreigners is crazy in Singapore. Many are against the foreign talent from coming into Singapore and taking away their jobs (talking about managers and office jobs). However, I think Singapore is going her best. She has one of the lowest unemployment rate in the world.

Confirming what many here already have written, my colleague’s sister and brother-in-law used to work/live in Singapore. They loved the places – the excitement, the cuisine, the vitality, but found it to be ruinously expensive.
They live in Chicago now, and though it’s comparatively more affordable, they both miss Singapore.
