Best Jobs for Your Chinese Zodiac Sign

Today is the eve of Chinese New Year.

Like Christmas and Thanksgiving that is important in the Western part, Chinese New Year is an important family-oriented event. Every time this year, I am grateful for a lot of things and people. I feel blessed and lucky. I count my good fortune every morning when I wake up and smile when I go to bed every night.

For this Chinese New Year, I want to do a fun post. The Chinese have a zodiac calendar (much like the horoscope) and each of the twelve years is represented by an animal. There is this story I really like about why and how the animals are derived in the zodiac calendar and you can read it here! It’s a great story to share with your kids as well. https://wehavekids.com/education/Chinese-Zodiac-Story

But this post is not for kids. Based on the zodiac animals characteristics, I’m going to recommend the best jobs under your sign. Let’s see if your current job matches your zodiac sign!

This was fun. I’m a dragon and was a librarian and am now becoming a writer. We had four dragons in our nine person section of the library. Lots of strong willed people including the boss.

Very interesting! I was born in the year of the Rat. I’m looking forward to 2020. Sadako, my wife, is a Tiger. Together we make a pretty good team! 🙂

I was an educator and always maintained that teachers are a brand of actors and actresses! So that fits. Money! My early adult years were plagued with money issues caused by my poor money management skills. Sigh. So that doesn’t fit. Oh, and I always winced at the title “Rat” sounds horrid a la our western cultural attitude towards rodents.

But then I love the story of the Great Race of the twelve animals crossing the river. The rat rode on the back of the ox and then jumped ashore being the first to arrive! Hence he’s the first ashore and the winner and the good ol ox is number two.
